WHY CHRISTMAS DOESN'T FEEL THE SAME?
Do you feel that Christmas isn't the same as it was when you were a child? Christmas is almost here. While, it seems like many people these days are missing something, we all want to experience the thrill and anticipation of this holiday season. Joy, happiness, and excitement are no longer felt by a large number of people globally. I'll just list a few of the many possible reasons why Christmas does not feel the same.
1. Outgrowing Christmas
In my opinion, as we get older, Christmas doesn't "feel the same" because our brains mature and don't function the way they did when we were little children. Because that's how we remember it as children, Christmas is so magical and warms and comforts our hearts. However, as we get older, we start to have more mental considerations. Children are so happy because they don't approach things the same way. Everything is superficial, what you see is what you get. We are getting older and despite the fact that occasions like Christmas are just around the corner, life actually goes on. We have similar problems, similar aggravation and so on. As children, we didn't have these problems at Christmas. Christmas was simply Christmas: a time for good food, beautiful surroundings and presents. We had no worries or stress. As adults, we don’t have that luxury. It's pathetic, but at the same time it's just obvious.
2. Finances that come with christmas
During the holidays, it's easy for your holiday spending to spiral out of control, which can be financially stressful. Christmas can be a very stressful time due to the cost of gifts and groceries, the stress of shopping and the expectations of the occasion. For this reason, people tend to be less excited at Christmas. For them, the Christmas spirit is less about serenity and peace of mind and more about stress and anxiety.
3. Not knowing the real meaning of christmas
Many of us have simply forgotten that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ. The birth and life of Jesus have not been meaningfully celebrated in the Christian world. We may have forgotten that Christmas is more about giving than receiving. What matters is what you give, not what gifts you receive. Every year children become more greedy and expect numerous gifts. This causes parents and guardians to spend a lot of money on gifts and not on what is truly important. The Christmas season sees a large influx of money into stores, causing people to prefer working rather than celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Christmas is not just a day on the schedule. It is a global tapestry of warmth, joy and love - a symphony of feelings, customs and shared moments. Whether celebrated for its religious significance, joyful atmosphere or sense of community, Christmas remains a global symbol of hope and joy.
